The current narrative in the health and fitness industry is that sugar is addictive. You’ll often hear it said that “sugar is more addictive than cocaine.”
Sometimes you’ll hear that “food” in general is addictive. Or that processed food is manufactured to have special powers over you.
In today’s episode, I’m going to make a stand against this dangerous, disempowering rhetoric. I’m going to make the case that addictive foods don’t exist. I’ll also make the case that drugs aren’t addictive, based on current research that shows addiction has been misunderstood for decades.
